Hello!

I'm Rachelle McGill. Welcome to TCC!

What I Teach:

I teach a variety of classes including English, Communications, and College Success (COL). One of the classes I teach is a Learning Community.  The Learning Community is titled CCPA, which stands for "College Career Pathway Academy," and incorporates all three classes (English, CMST&101 and COL).  I teach this class with my colleague, Allison Muir.  We have taught this class together for over eight years and it is unique in many ways.

  1. CCPA has two professors, so students receive a lot of support.
  2. CCPA is taught face-to-face two times a week (T/Th) with the other days being "hybrid" or what some might call "on-line" work.
  3. CCPA is a 15 credit class (10 credits are college level), so instead of attending the three courses separately, students attend one class, two times a week, that encompasses all three course objectives.
  4. CCPA is FUN! The goal is to help student learners see their potential at TCC and beyond. We focus on building community and connections in this class.

My Goal:

My goals and interests lie with my students. I want to know who you are! What do you enjoy learning about? What connections can be made between your life and what you learn in class? How can you gain confidence and motivation as a student at TCC? These are all really important to me, and I strive to make my classes comfortable and manageable for each student attending whether you are a student who has not been in school for years, a returning student, or a student fresh from high school. There is something for everyone in my classes.

Come Say Hi!

If you are uncertain about where to begin at TCC, or if you are interested in joining CCPA, come say Hi! My office is in building F1 room 25. I would love to chat with you.
